Wrapping up with a closing thought on Strikeforce Fedor vs. Rogers and looking ahead to UFC 105 coming up this Saturday. No fight previews yet as, really, there isn’t 30 minutes worth of good fights to talk about on this card.

Long show tonight as I run through the last three fights from Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Rogers and divert into a side rant about MMA “fans” who don’t like to watch grappling. Also, with the UFC scrambling to deal with four of its champions being on the shelf there has been a flood of fight announcements to cover.

Final day of UFC 104 talk. Seriously. I’m done with it now. We cover Sonnen/Okami and Neer/Tibau, but really I just want to talk about the problems with UFC commentators Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg.

I review the performance of the RAMMA Scoring system on its debut run and breakdown the destruction of Ben Rothwell by Cain Velasquez. One more day of UFC 104 tomorrow and then it’s on to. . . well, something else.

We begin our breakdown of UFC 104 which provided several interesting story lines, many that aren’t directly about the fights. I recap my bout prognostication (I went 3-1 on outcomes) and breakdown the main event fight between Machida and Rua.

We finish out our UFC 104 preview by breaking down the light heavyweight title fight between Lyoto Machida and Mauricio Rua. Will the fight play out by the numbers and allow Machida to be the first to defend the belt since Quinton Jackson defeated Dan Henderson, or do Rua and UFC have an ace up their sleeves?

Rough show tonight after getting started late. We briefly cover Gleison Tibau vs. Josh Neer and then move on to the much more significant Cain Velasquez vs. Ben Rothwell. The heavyweight bout is the co-main event of the evening and will determine the challenger for the winner of Brock Lesnar vs. Shane Carwin.

Flying through the rest of the under card and right into the main card of UFC 104, I take the time to analyze the lightweight match between Joe Stephenson and Spencer Fisher, a potential “Fight of the Night.”

Beginning our preview of UFC 104 early with discussion of Yushin Okami vs. Chael Sonnen, a fight that isn’t getting nearly the respect it deserves because the combatants have the potential for “boring fights”. My big question: is four shows too many to devote to an event preview?

The Ultimate Fighter Season 10 garnered huge ratings for last night’s episode, breaking its own previously set records in weeks one and two. I predict their ratings drop dramatically next week due to viewer disappointment about the over-hyped match-up between Roy Nelson and Kimbo Slice. Also, Rashad Evans will fight Thiago Silva, but what reward does the winner get?
